Essential Legal Planning Engages with UCDC Students on Immigration Policy

Essential Legal Planning is committed to fostering informed discussions on pressing immigration issues. Recently, our lawyers, Olesya Sidorkina (Partner) and Martin Uribe (Of Counsel), had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion for students in the University of California, Washington Program (UCDC). Joined by Ray Serrano from LULAC, the panel focused on Immigration Policy and Advocacy, providing students with insights into the evolving landscape of immigration law and the challenges faced by vulnerable communities.

During the discussion, we examined the impact of recent immigration policies under the Trump administration and highlighted ongoing advocacy efforts to safeguard immigrant rights. We emphasized the importance of legal support, community engagement, and policy advocacy in protecting at-risk populations. Engaging with students who are passionate about these issues was both inspiring and a reminder of the critical role that education and activism play in shaping a more just and equitable immigration system.
